Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Greenup, KY

Salina is that stunning liver chestnut with lotsa chrome. Everyone from the farrier to the horse dentist comments on how lovely she is. Great conformation, no scars or blemishes. Now completing (in July) 60 days with natural horsmanship trainer. She has not been rushed or hurt. Awesome pedigree Skipper W bred on the top and Sonny Dee and Triple Chick on bottom. No Impressive. A frind talked me into this horse because he saw her potential. But I do not belong on a green horse, have no room to breed, and cannot afford to show. She is wasted here. Would consider trade for reliable little trail horse, no more than 14. 3 HH. Breed unimportant.

About Greenup, KY

Greenup was laid out in 1803 and 1804 by Robert Johnson, a pioneer and legislator who owned the land. Upon the formation of Greenup County (named for the former congressman Christopher Greenup, who later served as governor) out of land separated from Mason County, Johnson's settlement was chosen to be the seat of government and adopted the name "Greenupsburg". Its post office was erected on July 1, 1811. The state assembly formally established the town on February 4, 1818, and incorporated the city thirty years later on February 29, 1848. The name was shortened to "Greenup" on March 13, 1872, partially to avoid confusion with Greensburg.
