Arabian Mare for Sale in Elmira, NY
Sera is nine years old. She has been ridden in an indoor, outdoor
arena, and on trails the last three years. She is well bred. Excellent
confirmation. Could be an excellent choice for breeding. (BASK, SERAFIX,
Witez II, BW Influence) Family tree can be traced back to late 1800's.
Daughters rode her in the arena. But, would suggest an experienced
rider because she does shy on occassion (stupid stuff like stumps) .
Her shying is just jumping over a bit. Once you say "It's ok"
She pretends nothing happened. She is Not afraid of deer, geese, an
other things that might pop out on the trail. I think she would make
an excellent choice for endurance competitions, possible disciplines.
She is eager to please and a pleasure to be around. She enjoys attention.
If I don't sell by June I will be sending her away for Western Pleasure
training for children to use in shows. Would concider trades for a
 yearling to show.
                        About Elmira, NY
This was long an area inhabited by indigenous people. In historic times, it was occupied by the Cayuga nation of the Iroquois Confederacy, also called the Kanawaholla. They had some relations with Europeans and English over fur trading, but were relatively isolated from the encroaching settlements. During the American Revolutionary War, the Sullivan Expedition of 1779 was mounted against the four Iroquois nations who had allied with the British and Loyalist forces. It fought a combined British-Iroquois force at the Battle of Newtown, south of the current city, in which Sullivan and his forces were victorious.
