Quarter Horse Stallion for Sale in Greenup, KY
leads, loads, shoes, bathes, clips, neck - reins. Plants himself if
startled (rarely) , no bolt. Loves the trail. Quick and responsive, but
doesn't get hot. Flashy sorrel with flaxen mane and tail. Sensible trail
horse with potential for much more. Has been ridden at fairgrounds with
lotsa activity, cool as a cucumber. I simply need a smaller horse. Would
consider trade for comparable horse no bigger than 14. 2. Older and
lazier would be ideal, I just want to meander in my old age. Shane has
never offered to buck, rear or fight his rider in any way. You ask and he
goes. No vices like cribbing or weaving. Easy keeper, good with other
horses, not a fighter and very respectful of mares. Just an all around
good old boy that won't stop growing! Was 14. 3 when I got him.

About Greenup, KY
Greenup was laid out in 1803 and 1804 by Robert Johnson, a pioneer and legislator who owned the land. Upon the formation of Greenup County (named for the former congressman Christopher Greenup, who later served as governor) out of land separated from Mason County, Johnson's settlement was chosen to be the seat of government and adopted the name "Greenupsburg". Its post office was erected on July 1, 1811. The state assembly formally established the town on February 4, 1818, and incorporated the city thirty years later on February 29, 1848. The name was shortened to "Greenup" on March 13, 1872, partially to avoid confusion with Greensburg.
