Shetland Pony Mare for Sale in Merkel, TX
Dream is a beautiful 3 yr old black and white tobiano mare that jumps
and is also trained to pull a cart. Her driving training has gone
exceptionally well and she really enjoys it. She has been taken down
county roads where she has become aclimated to trucks and animals and
is not bothered. She is very responsive and easy to drive. Talk about
animation this girl has it. When she is out in the pasture with the
other mares and they are running she is still trotting and is at the
head of the pack.

About Merkel, TX
Around 1870, when the Texas and Pacific Railway was built, the town was founded as Windmill Town. In 1881, it was renamed as Merkel in honor of the first settler in this area, S. M. Merkel from Germany. In 1882, the first mercantile store and in 1883, the first post office opened.
