Pony Stallion for Sale in Rockford, IL
BUDDY isA 19 YR OLD GELDING. He is currant on all shots, wormings, and has even had his teeth floated this year. He stand for the ferrier, and has never nipped or kicked. Buddy is out to pasture and loves to play with the big boy's. You would never know his age by watching him or ridding him. I am 5'4" and 120 lbs and ride him comfortably. He has no trouble crossing water or loading onto the trailor. We bought him for our childeren but they have not shown an interest in him. BUDDY needs a home that will give him alot of TLC. BUDDY was rescued from a bad home in late 2004. We have know idea how long it had been since he was ridden before I rode him this spring and he was and old hat and excited to go down the trail.
About Rockford, IL
Rockford traces its roots to 1834, as the combined settlements of Midway were founded on both banks of the Rock River. On the west bank, Germanicus Kent and Thatcher Blake (with his slave Lewis Lemon) founded Kentville; the east bank was settled by Daniel Shaw Haight. With the location of the Rock River equidistant between Lake Michigan and the Mississippi River, the combined settlement derived the name "Midway". In 1836, Winnebago County was created (from both Jo Daviess and LaSalle counties), with Midway named as its county seat. In 1837, the village of Midway was renamed Rockford, highlighting a rocky river ford across the Rock River in the village.
