Gem is a beautiful dressage horse. Always in the ribbons. Has competed in Pony Club D -3 to C -3 level. Not for a begginer rider. Wonderful manners. Great for the farrier. Very sound! Placed 14 th out of 148 at Pony Club Championships 2001. Solid 1 st level schooling 2 nd and 3 rd. Knows leg yield, lengthenings (all gaits) , shoulder - in, turn on the forehand, some collection. Learning travers, half - pass, turn on the haunches, and some canter pirouette. Green over fences. Tons of potential. Gem is named after his cousin Gem Twist an Olympic Show Jumping silver medalist.
About Kevil, KY
Founded for its position on the Illinois Central Railroad, the town received its post office in 1903 and was named for local landowner R.U. Kevil. It was formally incorporated by the state assembly in 1910.
