This pony is a gorgeous mover and jumper with smooth and comfortable gaits and an easy lead change. She takes a lot of leg and is a great confidence builder. She is 100% honest. As a 3 and 4 year old she was used to give lessons to beginner and intermediate riders of all ages. She is quiet enough for 6 year olds who have never ridden before to trot off the longe line in their first half hour lesson. She has been to many shows the last two seasons and has won a number of year end awards. At the USAE Rated Valley Park Charity Horse Show she was Children's Hunter Pony Champion after winning every class in that division. About Coal Valley, IL
The first settlers in Coal Valley were trappers and farmers who came from Wales, England, Ireland, Germany and Sweden. The pioneer settlers of the community are thought to have been William and Charles Bailey who built the first house within the present village limits. It is also believed that they operated a small mine, which could quite possibly be the first discovery of coal in the vicinity. The Coal Valley Mining Company was formed in 1856.
