Layla is a 16 yo grade quarter horse mare. She is very flashy with flaxen mane & tail. Sensitively trained mare, very responsive to neck reining and bit. She loves to run. Very powerful and very fast, a real barrel prospect with strong bursts of speed. Big boned, strong, clean legs, powerful hindquarters and good feet. Gets along perfectly with other horses, good baby sitter mare in a herd. Reason for selling - she is too much horse for my small business that caters to novices. She will make a wonderful horse for a sensitive experienced rider.

A visitor to Bandera can see a sign on Main Street, in front of the fire department, which states that Bandera was founded by Roman Catholic immigrants from Poland. St. Stanislaus Catholic Church was built by those immigrants, and the church is one of the oldest in Texas. Many of the residents are descended from those original Polish immigrants. Several stories exist regarding the origin of the name "Bandera".
