Appendix Stallion for Sale in Pompano Beach, FL

"Oliver" is an absolutely gorgeous bright chestnut Appendix Quarter Horse. He has been ridden western, but with his current owner he is a successful hunter. He is a flashy, bright red chestnut who receives compliments on his gleaming coat (he really shines) and conformation everywhere he goes. As a hunter, Oliver has proven successful in the showring; he has a wonderfully easy to ride trot and a butter - smooth canter. He is a brave and stylish jumper (2'6" -3'3") and has NEVER refused a fence and seems to really enjoy jumping. Oliver would also make a great western horse and was happy doing that with his previous owner. Oliver is for sale due to the fact that I have outgrown him. . . he needs an intermediate rider; will sell only to a good home, hopefully with grass turnout:)

About Pompano Beach, FL

Its name is derived from the Florida pompano ( Trachinotus carolinus), a fish found off the Atlantic coast. There had been scattered settlers in the area from at least the mid-1880s, but the first documented permanent residents of the Pompano area were George Butler and Frank Sheen and their families, who arrived in 1896 as railway employees. The first train arrived in the small Pompano settlement on February 22, 1896. It is said that Sheen gave the community its name after jotting down on his survey of the area the name of the fish he had for dinner. The coming of the railroad led to development farther west from the coast.
