Missouri Fox Trotter Mare for Sale in Mannford, OK
This is an 11 year old white missouri fox trotter. She is actually registered but we never got the papers off the guy who sold her to us. She is broke, trailers fine, halters, and saddles just fine. She is very loving. She has been kept both by herself and with pasture mates. She doesn't go crazy when she leaves her friends, and i've never had the mare crazies with her when she is in heat. I've had her shoed and also keep her barefoot during the winter. She is up to date on all her shots but due for her coggins next month. No bad habits. I ride her with my five month old son so I consider her kid - safe. To see pictures of her go to: http: / / www. geocities. com / leellen74434 / in dex. html email me at: leellen74***@hotmail. com
About Mannford, OK
The town name is derived from "Mann's Ford", a crossing of the Cimarron River where Tom and Hazel Mann had received a Creek allotment. The Arkansas Valley and Western Railroad (later the St. Louis and San Francisco Railroad (commonly called "Frisco") built a line through this area in 1902–03, making it an important cattle shipping point. A post office was established April 11, 1903. When the Army Corps of Engineers began making plans for flood control that would flood the town of Mannford, citizens formed a plan to relocate several miles southeast of the original site.
