Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Colorado Springs, CO
an amazing bombproof 12yr old trail gelding. Standing 15.3h he is easy, smooth and a joy to ride. Neck reins with ease. He would be great for an adult begginer or intermiddiate rider who wants a SAFE trail partner. In his former performance career, he was ridden hard. Due to repetitive stopping and spinning on the haunches , he now has arthritis in his hips and left rear hock. He is still perfectly happy, capable, and LOVES to go places on trail. I recently rode him 12miles walk/trot and he did great. He will sometimes crow hop(not buck) into a canter, not to be naughty, but because it is not comfortable for him to get into the canter. Nick is sure footed and can navigate any obstacle with ease. He will cross water, load into any trailer, walk steep terrain, cross bridges, tarps, ride along traffic, dogs running up, will pony, and has excellent ground manners. Nothing bothers this boy! He has a quarter crack on his left hind foot, which does not slow him down. He will happily go out alone or in a group. He is not dominant in a herd and is an easy keeper. Nick can walk slowly, or move out, he just wants to please his rider. Nick loves attention, and will stand quietly. St! Only reason I am selling is due to family emergency and can't afford to keep him. Good home is a must. He will take care of you on trail. Price 2,000 firm. To reach me text is 719-761-29eight9
About Colorado Springs, CO
The Ute, Arapaho and Cheyenne peoples were the first recorded inhabiting the area which would become Colorado Springs. Part of the territory included in the United States' 1803 Louisiana Purchase, the current city area was designated part of the 1854 Kansas Territory. In 1859, after the first local settlement was established, it became part of the Jefferson Territory on October 24 and of El Paso County on November 28. Colorado City at the Front Range confluence of Fountain and Camp creeks was "formally organized on August 13, 1859" during the Pike's Peak Gold Rush. It served as the capital of the Colorado Territory from November 5, 1861, until August 14, 1862, when the capital was moved to Denver.
