Bashkir Curly Mare - Amazing Trail Horse

Meet Curly, she's a 16 year old solid black Bashkir Curly (not registered). She's barely 14 hands tall but what she lacks in height she makes up for in personality. She's a very easy keeper, I don't even feed her grain in the summertime when there's plenty of grass. She has extremely strong hooves and I keep her barefoot. She is completely sound even on gravel roads and long trail rides. She is up to date on dental, coggins, vaccinations, trimming and deworming. No bite or kick. She leads, loads, grooms and bathes without issue. She's very easy to catch and comes running to me when I whistle. If I could only use one word to describe Curly it would be FEARLESS! I've found nothing that scares her! I've ridden her by the highway, on rocky trails, through creeks and up hills and nothing has ever made her think twice. She is very sure footed and always wants to be at the front to lead the way for the rest of the group and she can even keep up with gaited horses! I believe she would be great for ACTHA or competitive trail competitions. have ridden her around the farm bareback with just a halter and she's always done great. I would not recommend her for an inexperienced rider as she can be very forward when riding and she's incredibly smart. She wants a job to do and needs someone who can allow her to use her brain. She was ridden western before I got her but has started english and I think she is coming along nicely. She would be a great project horse for someone who can see how much potential she has and is willing to put in the time to achieve it! She wasn't ridden much for several years before I got her and she can have a tendency to be mouthy with the bit but we are working on that! I have nothing but good things to say about her.
