Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Colorado Springs, CO

Charm – AQHA Poco Colo Rado Charm, DOB March 11, 2012 http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/poco+colo+rado+charm “Charm” is a beautiful medium slate grulla mare. She stands approximately 15 hands, is gentle and easy to work with. She was put under basic saddle training in 2015 but has only had a handful of arena and trail rides since then due to my timing limitations so is still very green and does like to move out. She did produce a very nice colt for me this year but he was sadly lost at 12 days due to no fault of her own and is currently open and ready to be added to your breeding program or given more saddle training to finish her off. Unfortunately Charm has not had a very “charmed” life as she is one that finds ways of getting hurt. None of her injuries have kept her from being sound and she is still very athletic despite some of her cosmetic imperfections but they will likely limit her ability in intense competition so am recommending she be a broodmare, trail mount or possibly a beginner 4-H type speed event horse. She has a lot of heart and LOVES to run and spin and you will see she comes by that honestly when reviewing her pedigree. She is currently being treated for some minor cuts to her rear legs that are healing beautifully but she might end up with some additional scarring to add to her resume. Her dam “Jetta” is also for sale on this site for your review. Confirmed 5 panel negative and homozygous black through Animal Genetics. Please call the home number, email or text 719-663-9569 for more information $4000 open

About Colorado Springs, CO

The Ute, Arapaho and Cheyenne peoples were the first recorded inhabiting the area which would become Colorado Springs. Part of the territory included in the United States' 1803 Louisiana Purchase, the current city area was designated part of the 1854 Kansas Territory. In 1859, after the first local settlement was established, it became part of the Jefferson Territory on October 24 and of El Paso County on November 28. Colorado City at the Front Range confluence of Fountain and Camp creeks was "formally organized on August 13, 1859" during the Pike's Peak Gold Rush. It served as the capital of the Colorado Territory from November 5, 1861, until August 14, 1862, when the capital was moved to Denver.
