Quarter Horse Stallion for Sale in Junction, IL

This gelding was eligible for registration, and I have his birthdate, but his certificate was never sent in. He is a very gentle horse that most anyone could ride. He has tons of trail riding experience and has also been shown at many fun shows so he has seen a lot. He is great around cattle and gets along well with other horses. He has very smooth gaits and is easy to handle in any type of bit. He has had quite a bit of arena work, and is just a very broke horse. He has a cosmetic scar on his rear leg where he got into a barbed wire fence as a yearling. He never has any trouble with it, even after hard rides. He is stout enough, broke enough, and willing enough to do anything that is asked of him.

About Junction, IL

Junction was founded in the 1880s, and was named for its location at the junction of the L&N and B&O railroads. When a post office was established in 1884, it was named "Cypress Junction." The name was changed to "Junction City" in 1888, and shortened to "Junction" in 1894. Junction's location in a relatively flat area leaves it prone to flooding along the Ohio River, which can cause waters in the nearby Saline River to back up. A major flood in March 1997 displaced several area residents and blocked all but one road leading into the village. The Hickory Hill mansion, almost five miles west of Junction, is the 19th-century home of illegal slave trader and slave breeder John Hart Crenshaw.
