Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Oak View, CA

Ike is a cute and very gentle 5 year old 14.3 hand sorrel gelding that’s been in good hands his whole life. Started right, Ike is an easy horse to ride and work with. Has covered lots of miles in the country. He has a good one hand neck rein, a smooth and easy to sit trot and will lope out on cue every time never missing the correct lead. He has a good stop, backs soft and side passes with ease to open and close the gates. This is a very settled and confidant horse to ride around the trails and our busy neighborhood was well. We have ridden him around the neighborhood with other horses as well as out alone and he is always a gentleman. He is outstanding to ride on our trails. He navigates the rocky river bed and steep hills like one should. Crosses the water, will lead or follow and is q

From charging barking dogs to the fast passing cars and the occasional bicycle it is all ok with him. Ike is always gentle and well mannered. He has been roping the dummy and took to the rope no problem and has moved cattle on the ranch as well. Good to bathe, shoe, load and haul. This is an exceptionally nice horse with a bright future. 100% safe sane and sound with no issues or bad habits of any kind.805-649-9398

About Oak View, CA

The town of Oak View was established as a 'bedroom community' during the late 1940s and early 1950s, primarily home to local oil industry workers who found work in nearby Ventura. Besides nearby downtown Ojai, Oak View is the only other town in the Ojai Valley with a discernible "downtown", which has developed along the Ventura Avenue/Highway 33 corridor. Oak View's 'downtown' has a number of businesses and services that have withstood the test of time and economic conditions. Among them, you'll find a post office, a grocery store, a grocery mart, one bank, a Thai restaurant, a coffee house/restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, a pizza parlor, two automobile repair shops, two tire shops, two self-serve gasoline stations, two coffee shops, an equipment rental yard, several hair stylists, a pet supplies store, a liquor store, a walk-in medical office, a car wash, and a laundromat. At various times over the years, some locals have considered incorporating as a city, as an alternative to County of Ventura governance.
