Shetland Pony Mare for Sale in Merkel, TX
The filly is by my HOF stallion All That Style N Class and out of
an Arenosa mare, she is 25% Arenosa breeding. Holly is a nice silver
dapple filly that is very gentle and is easy to catch. She is halter
broke, stands tied and was easy to clip, I have also started working
her in the obstacle course and despooking her. . She is UTD on shots,
worming, coggins & farrier work. She would make a great youth mare and
may possibly stay under to hardship into AMHR. Holly is elgible for
the foundation seal.
About Merkel, TX
Around 1870, when the Texas and Pacific Railway was built, the town was founded as Windmill Town. In 1881, it was renamed as Merkel in honor of the first settler in this area, S. M. Merkel from Germany. In 1882, the first mercantile store and in 1883, the first post office opened.
