Pony Stallion for Sale in Candor, NY
"Sammy" is a 7 or 8 yr old gelding that I rescued about 7 months ago. He has come a long way in these past few months, he is very lovable horse and loves any kind of attention he gets. His gound manners have come a long way, he is very easy to handle. I have done some trail riding w / him and he has done very well for the amount of time he has been neglected. When I first took him in he had a very nasty flesh wound on his right rear, this wound is starting to heal very nicely but still needs daily treatment. "Sammy" needs a good home and a second chance at a good life, a life he should have had in the frist place. Please call w / any questions.

About Candor, NY
Settlement of the town began around 1794 on land purchased as part of the Watkins and Flint Patent of 1794. The Town of Candor was formed from the Town of Spencer in 1811. Citizens wanted to name the town "Washington," but did not do so due to the existence of another town by that name in New York ( Dutchess County). The source of the name "Candor" is unknown. Candor was the community identified as "Springdale" in Vidich and Bensman's 1958 book, "Small Town in Mass Society."
