Paint Mare for Sale in Leavenworth, KS
"Sage" is a very easy to handle mare, and has very nice foals. Sage was trained at one time or another, and although I have thrown a saddle on her to see her reaction, I never rode. She was fine with it, but it's been years. Very easy to catch, lead, and loads by just opening the trailer door and let go of her lead. She's even loaded in an open trailer when I was trying to train another one to load! Would make a nice trail horse if you wanted to take the time to "retrain" her. Doesn't spook easily at all. I am selling her colt also, Will make 2- in -1 package deal. If you buy the mare w / out the colt, I'll hold her until he's weaned. Email for more pics. Deposit to hold her & willing to take payments.
                        About Leavenworth, KS
Leavenworth, founded in 1854, was the first city incorporated in the territory of Kansas. The city developed south of Fort Leavenworth, which was established as Cantonment Leavenworth in 1827 by Colonel Henry Leavenworth. Its location on the Missouri River attracted refugee African-American slaves in the antebellum years, who were seeking freedom from the slave state of Missouri across the river. Abolition supporters helped them find refuge. In the years before the American Civil War, Leavenworth was a hotbed of anti-slavery and pro-slavery agitation, often leading to open physical confrontations on the street and in public meetings.
