This goregous 5 yo gelding is a showstopper on the rail and on the trail. He has been shown extensively in Flat - shod circuits and is the 2002 Res National Champion for Model. His smooth flashy gait has won over many a judge and is pleasurable for hours on the trail. He is willing to please and has enough heart to do just about anything. About Oakboro, NC
Oakboro developed because of the railroad. The original town started at a natural salt lick called Big Lick. When the railroad came through in 1913 the town moved closer to the railroad and became "Furr Town". In 1915, the name was changed to Oakboro. The Oakboro Cotton Mill was a major employer in the 1940s and 1950s while cotton was still "king" of the South.
