                                "Duck" (Holyoke Gambler x Jmes Belle) Shown in weanling halter this year at one show and did very well for her first time out in the big world.                                  Turtle Lake is a city in McLean County, North Dakota, United States. The population was 581 at the 2010 census. Turtle Lake was founded in 1905. Turtle Creek was the site almost 100 years ago of the April 20, 1920 murder of a family of eight at the nearby Jacob Wolf farm Turtle Lake is located at 47°31′10″N 100°53′27″W  /  47.51944°N 100.89083°W  / 47.51944; -100.89083 (47.519378, -100.890857). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.52 square miles (1.35 km 2), of which, 0.51 square miles (1.32 km 2) is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 km 2) is water.
