"Charlie" is a beautiful mare by Dont Skip Charlie. She has her open and amateur ROM with points in halter, showmanship, hunter under saddle, and equitation. We are currently leading the state standings in hunter under saddle and are in the top five in equitation, showmanship and halter. She wastop ten at the 2002 Congress in Non - Pro 2 yo hunter under saddle. She is incentive fund and eligible for Just For Pleasure & NSBA Breeders Futurity. Charlie does not have to stay with a trainer and is very easy to get ready at the horse show. Easy enough for a novice but competive enough for an amateur. This mare has serious all around potential. About Clayton, NC
The community which has grown into the town of Clayton was built on a road cut by Governor Tryon's troops around 1770 as they marched northwest from New Bern to Hillsborough against the Regulators. Nearly 100 years later the railroad came through and the community had its first name—Stallings' Station, since the depot for the North Carolina Railroad was in the home of Mrs. Sarah Stallings. The name lasted only three years, however, before officially becoming Clayton. Incorporation followed in 1869.
