American Warmblood Mare for Sale in Upton, KY
Ceila is truly an unusual cross! Her dam is a beautiful adopted wild mustang used for Civil War reenactments; her sire is Aegypt, a Supreme AWS Tk stallion by Samurai II. Ceila is certified with the AWS after going to the initial inspection in July, 2003. She has three nice gaits and shows the potential for wonderful suspension and extention. She has much potential for jumping as demonstrated by free jumping. She has a very sweet disposition and is easy to manage. She is also a very easy keeper. We have done a lot of in - hand and round arena work. She has been worked in bridle, surcingle, rebalancing reins, and also saddle. Ceila will be started under saddle by October, 2003. She will make a wonderful mount for an experienced young rider or adult.
                        About Upton, KY
Upton was founded in 1841, and was initially known as "Leesville." It was renamed in 1856 in honor of George Washington Upton, who had helped develop the area as a stop along the L&N Railroad. Upton was one of the targets of Confederate John Hunt Morgan during the Civil War. Upton was on the L&N Railroad, one of the key north-south rail roads for the Union. The train station and nearby bridges were attacked during the day on December 26, 1862. The Union forces were quickly defeated and Morgan took advantage of the telegraph station in Upton to gather intelligence on Union troop disposition.
