Bashkir Curly Gelding for Sale in Fort Collins, CO
Porkchop is a well-built, handsome, blue roan curly gelding. He’s 7 years old and stands at 15.1 hands. If you aren’t familiar with Curly horses, they are known for being kind, easygoing, and hypoallergenic for most people. Porkchop is extremely rare, being a blue roan and a curly.
Porkchop is a true pleasure to have in our barn and care. He is gentle, quiet, friendly, and in your pocket, with such a cool, fun-loving personality.
His ground manners are amazing, and he makes working around him easy. Catching, tying, leading, grooming, picking feet, fly spraying, saddling, etc. he stands perfectly and quietly.
His manners extend to riding, too. He stands like a gentleman for mounting and dismounting and stands like a statue for our 3yo to crawl all over.
He is not a spooky horse and is so reasonable when shown new things. He is a very unbothered type of horse, and I have yet to have him spook, even at extremely scary flappy items. He is no stranger to bikes, heavy traffic, loud dogs, flags, wind, etc.
Porkchop rides very well in an arena, open pasture, and on the trail. We have taken him across the country with our show horse string. He has been to many states with us, including California, New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas. He has ridden through downtown Fort Worth, the stockyards, through multiple national parks, and through lots of busy crowds. Our beginner, non-horsey sons mostly ride him when they need to tag along on a trail with us. He packed them safely through extremely difficult terrain without a bad step.
OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 11/18 @ 5:40 PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit.

About Fort Collins, CO
Fort Collins was founded as a military outpost of the United States Army in 1864. It succeeded a previous encampment, known as Camp Collins, on the Cache La Poudre River, near what is known today as Laporte. Camp Collins was erected during the Indian wars of the mid-1860s to protect the Overland mail route that had been recently relocated through the region. Travelers crossing the county on the Overland Trail would camp there, but a flood destroyed the camp in June 1864. Afterward, the commander of the fort wrote to the commandant of Fort Laramie in southeast Wyoming, Colonel William O.
