Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Fort Collins, CO
Everyone wants a safe, finished, no-drama gelding…, and here he is.
Casper is a jack-of-all-trades. He is a finished head horse, experienced trail horse, has been ridden in parades, has shown in reining and cow work events, and has been ridden English as well.
He would excel as a mountain trail horse, parade horse, mounted police horse, and would be great as a queen/ gymkhana horse.
Casper is finished, has a super soft one-hand neck rein, moves off the leg, and is very responsive. He can go all day and has a big motor. He likes to move out and is extremely easy to steer and stop. He is safe no matter what. He has never offered to do anything naughty. He had a month off while we were at a horse show, and when we came home, we caught him, saddled him up on an extremely windy day, and took him through town, and he was exactly the same. He is not spooky and crosses whatever you point him at.
Casper is also great on the ground. Easy to catch in the field. Stands, ties quietly, loads easily, good with his feet, etc. He is also great for the vet and farrier.
Casper has never been injured or sick. He has 4 great hard black feet and is currently barefoot with no current maintenance. He is also stocky and has good bone. He is up to date on vaccines, wormer, trimming, and teeth floating. He is an easy keeper and gets along well with other horses in a herd.
Come and try him! He’s a special gelding with a lot to offer.
OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 11/18 @ 6:00 PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit.
About Fort Collins, CO
Fort Collins was founded as a military outpost of the United States Army in 1864. It succeeded a previous encampment, known as Camp Collins, on the Cache La Poudre River, near what is known today as Laporte. Camp Collins was erected during the Indian wars of the mid-1860s to protect the Overland mail route that had been recently relocated through the region. Travelers crossing the county on the Overland Trail would camp there, but a flood destroyed the camp in June 1864. Afterward, the commander of the fort wrote to the commandant of Fort Laramie in southeast Wyoming, Colonel William O.
