Khan is a gorgeous 6-year-old Percheron gelding standing 16.3 hands. He offers an impressive combination of size, versatility, training, and a willing disposition. Recently, Khan joined me for a weekend camping trip with friends and quickly became a favorite among the entire group. Khan is confident out on the trail. He rides out alone or with others and takes new environments in stride. Water crossings, downfall, bridges, natural obstacles, steep inclines, and uneven terrain are all part of the adventure. He ties overnight on a high line like a gentleman. And has a particularly handy trick, with a simple snap of your fingers, Khan is trained to “pick you up” from wherever you need to mount. Whether you’re getting on from the mounting block, ground, or finding a convenient spot along the trail. While Khan is a great trail companion, his talents don’t stop there. He transitions easily into the arena and rides both English and Western. A gorgeous mover! He has a comfortable walk, trot, and canter. Travels both directions on the correct lead. Moves laterally. Is lightly started over cross rails and has the potential to make an enjoyable foxhunting partner. With his size, athletic ability, and adaptable nature, Khan offers plenty of possibilities for someone wanting a horse to enjoy across multiple disciplines. Khan is easy to own. He is easy to catch, loads and hauls well, and does well with the farrier. He stalls well or is perfectly content living outside in a mixed herd.
