Mustang Mare for Sale in Bonnieville, KY

Shiloh is a beautiful, calm 14.3, 5-year-old blue roan mustang from the Bureau of Land Management. She is originally from Adobe Town, HMA, Wyoming. She is the sweetest, most in-your-pocket type of horse. She loves attention and is always the first one to the gate when called. Shiloh has been ridden extensively on trails, hauled overnight for camping with or without hobbles, ridden over several obstacles, and attended roping clinics and local fun shows, where she brought home 1st-place ribbons with our kids riding her. Shiloh is super easygoing and doesn’t get spooked by anything we have pointed her towards. She has more whoa than go and has a silly personality too. She truly loves to be around people and craves attention. This mare will do anything from strolling through town with parades and traffic to trail riding, bridges, platforms, maypole, garrocha pole, opening gates, swinging ropes, jumps, tarps, drags, leads, loads, ties, bathes, stands great for the farrier, traffic/ATV safe, rides bareback, and has been used to push cattle. Her videos speak for themselves on how versatile this mare is. She stops off your seat, moves off leg pressure, and backs collected with ease. We adopted her directly from the BLM in 2023. While I received her title from the BLM in 2024, I have been unable to find the hard copy recently. I do, in fact, have a picture of it, providing her freeze brand number, age, and other information that I will be happy to share, along with some additional BLM paperwork I received at the time of adoption. Shiloh is an easy, all-around versatile horse who doesn’t get in a hurry. This past summer we took her to the river, and our kids swam with her bareback and cannonballed off her into the river. She knows the come-over cue to get on from a mounting block by the snap of your fingers and lunges beautifully both directions with no fuss. We have had people of all ages ride her, from 4 to 60. Shiloh is a sturdy, trustworthy partner for anything you may want to throw at her. She is happy to ride alone or with a group. Shiloh is confident in new places and has a beautiful true-blue roan coat that catches anyone’s attention. Do not pass on the opportunity to own this sweet, kind, sensible horse! OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 11/04 @ 4:40 PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit.

About Bonnieville, KY

Founded in 1849, the town was originally known as Bacon Creek, for the stream that runs through the city. It is rumored that the name was changed to Bonnieville because of the popularity of the song " My Bonnie Lies over the Ocean". On December 26, 1862, the Confederate John Hunt Morgan sent a detachment from Upton to the bridge over Bacon Creek in Bonnieville. A brief firefight with a detachment of the 2nd Michigan Volunteer Cavalry Regiment resulted with the destruction of the bridge for a third time and the wounding of 23. The railroad remained closed for six weeks until the tracks could be repaired and reopened on February 1.
