ONE IN A MILLION MISSOURI FOX TROTTER – PERFECT FAMILY / TRAIL HORSE DELUXE FOR SALE – Tanner Tanner is a STUNNING 10-year-old dappled golden Palomino Missouri Fox Trotter standing a tad over 15hh, a family-owned, well-loved, well-rounded trail horse deluxe! He is THE horse that everyone is searching for and rarely finds. He is the ultimate family horse, for everyone to enjoy, from children to adults. Tanner is safe, quiet, gentle, and versatile, with a calm temperament that can handle riders of all skill levels. He is patient and forgiving. We have owned Tanner for over 4 years. We generally keep horses for a few years, and then buy a younger horse to work with. Tanner is a trail horse extraordinaire, with an ultra-smooth gait. He can cover some ground if you like to ride with gaited horses, or walk slower with non-gaited breeds. Tanner does wonderfully in a crowd of horses, leading, in the middle, or in the back– easily separated, as he is not herd-bound at all. Rides out alone quietly. Camped extensively. He trailers perfectly (walks in and backs out calmly, with or without a ramp), stands dead still to mount quietly, and is perfect for the farrier, bathing, saddling, and bridling. He is as bomb proof as you can get – not spooky at all – exposed to many elements, including multi-use trail systems, wildlife, bicycles (including e-bikes!), joggers, cows, goats, sheep, dogs, donkeys, flapping tarps, construction equipment, motorcycles, highway traffic, and gunshots. Tanner tackles the steepest slopes, crosses water and bridges, goes over downed trees, and moves through the roughest terrain. Trail-ridden in extreme conditions with mud, snow, rivers, and sand. Climbs steep rocky terrain thoughtfully and with ease. Tanner neck reins beautifully, steps over with a click of your fingers for easy mounting, and backs up with ease. He is your perfect partner for opening gaits and clears obstacles like a champ. Gives kisses freely (lol!) NO vices, ties, clips, or baths; solid as a rock, easy keeper. No health issues, 100% sound. Super friendly with a very easygoing personality, this horse loves people and companionship. Very easy to catch in the field (he comes running to you), quiet and content in a stall, and great with all horses turned out in the pasture. He will follow you anywhere. His maturity and easygoing personality make it easy for him to excel at everything we have asked of him. Up to date on all vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating, sheath cleaning, hoof care (four keg shoes), and current Coggins. Please note: We require the buyer to be accessible via PayPal or Venmo to place a 10% deposit of the winning bid immediately after the auction ends. No exceptions.
