Pony of the Americas Gelding for Sale in Hesperia, MI
Amigo is a POA Leopard gelding standing about 14 hands tall, and he can both gait and trot! He has a very smooth, slow little shuffle gait he’ll do, and he has a very smooth jog trot that’s also easy to sit to. And his slow little canter is super smooth and easy to sit to.
Amigo has a very sweet, kind soul and will put up with a joke on his back; he’s very tolerant and doesn’t really seem to mind. He’s NOT easily spooked or bothered. He’s used to riding with a doggy sidekick that runs up behind him and at his sides full blast through the leaves, and he never blinks an eye at him.
Amigo has a dog’s personality; he’s always the first to greet you at the gate, is curious, and always wants to know what you are doing out in his pasture. He follows you to the gate and tries to come with you when you want a different horse. He’s very in your pocket and sweet-natured. He gets along well in a mixed herd and is lower on the pecking order.
Amigo will go anywhere down the trail, through creeks and rivers, over logs and bridges, and he goes where you point him. He’s down-to-earth and eager to please. Amigo is pretty easy to get along with, and I could see him doing great with a smaller, older adult who wants an easy-to-mount horse you don’t need a ladder to get on. He would also do well teaching a future little cowboy or cowgirl how to ride. And the thing is, he’s very smooth at all of his gaits, so he’s easy to learn to ride.
Amigo has excellent ground manners and stands very well for the farrier, mounting, tacking, fly sprays, and loading in and out of the trailer. He is an easy keeper; no maintenance required. He is ready to take his next rider in any direction, and he’s so easy to get along with. He’s everyone’s favorite here. EVEN the vet said he’s her favorite, and that says a lot because she sees a lot of horses and ponies. Amigo has that sweet-natured personality that instantly wins anyone over.
He is up to date on shots, deworming, farrier, vet check, and Coggins. Call if you would like to arrange a time to see him in person.
OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 11/04 @ 5:40 PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit.
