Bay Warlander Gelding

Theo is an 8-year-old Warlander (Friesian/Andalusian cross) bay gelding standing 15.2hh, with a solid build and a personality that’s hard to miss! He is the type of horse that enjoys having a job and being around people. He’s friendly, easy to catch, and has a “get it done” attitude both on the ground and under saddle. He’s been ridden alone and in groups and has spent plenty of time on trail rides, including around the Buffalo National River. He has been exposed to ATVs, dirt bikes, cows, pigs, goats, chickens, and a parade. He isn’t a spooky horse, but he has big energy, so a strong intermediate/experienced rider is recommended. Theo has a lot of buttons and loves to work. He side passes both directions, backs, picks you up to mount, leg yields, pivots forehands and hindquarters, and has good ground manners. He stands for saddling and bridling, picks up all four feet for the farrier, loads and backs out of the trailer, and is comfortable around people. He has given children pony rides and will ride bareback. Theo has a lot of go when asked, and would excel at dressage, working equitation, etc. He learns quickly and wants to please. Theo has the versatility to go in many different directions. He could make a fantastic trail partner, ranch horse, sport horse, parade horse, jumping prospect, dressage mount, or simply a fun all-around riding horse. Theo is looking for someone who will appreciate his willing personality, athletic ability, and versatility, and who can give him a job you’ll enjoy together. If you’re looking for a big, handsome gelding with a smart mind, big energy, and the ability to do a little bit of everything, Theo deserves a look.
