Buckskin Dun Fjord Draft X

Meet Kelso; he is the ULTIMATE husband, a safe or advanced beginner-type horse. He’s SO VERY laid back! He is very quiet and calm-minded, and nothing really seems to bother him. I’ve ridden him down major highways with SEMIs, tractors, motorcycles, and all sorts of traffic passing him from behind and in front, and he doesn’t bat an eye at any of it. Kelso is a Fjord Draft cross gelding, standing 15.3 hands tall, with a beautiful buckskin dun color, leg barring, and a white star. He has the sweetest personality and is a puppy dog out in the pasture. He’s the biggest out there, but on the lower end of the pecking order. He’s just a big dog personality-wise; I don’t see how he could get any better. He has an easygoing personality and wants to be your friend. Out on the trails, he goes anywhere with ZERO hesitation, and again, he is NOT easily spooked. He is used to riding with a doggy sidekick running up full blast behind him and at his sides. He will go over huge logs, little wooden bridges, through mucky creeks, and cross big rivers. He’s the kind of horse that just likes to mosey along and enjoy the view; he’s not in a hurry to get anywhere. But he will move out when asked, with an easy-to-post trot and a nice canter. He knows how to move off the leg and has had some arena work, but lately he’s been doing trails. He’s an easy keeper and NO maintenance required. He has good ground manners and stands still for the farrier, for tacking up, mounting, and loading in the trailer and hauls good. He even knows the pick-me-up cue to sidle over to the fence for you to pick him up. We bought Kelso straight from the breeder, so there are no unknowns; you get his full story. He’s up to date on shots, deworming, vet checks, Coggins, and farrier work. Just call to set up a time to come see him in person or with any questions. OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 11/04 @ 6:00 PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit.
