Family Safe Gelding

This is Big Chief- a 14 year old 15.1 hand bay quarter horse gelding. He has a flashy way about going and is savvy both under western or English tack! Chief is handy broke and responsive , versatile enough to win a fun show or safe enough to plod down the trail. He will walk, trot and canter circles level headed and collectively. He has a nice stop, bends at the poll, moves off leg pressure to side pass and pivot as well. Chief has been ridden by youth at some weekend shows along with several local state parks. He stands for the mounting block, ties and hauls quietly. We’ve ridden chief on night rides, bareback & double and he is not phased. He does great in a mixed herd, easy to catch and rides the same with time off! Chief is blemish free and sound, we keep front shoes on him but he does not require them.
