Chestnut MFT Gelding

Gibson is one of the smartest horses I have taken into the rough country of the Black Hills; he is easy to ride, beginner-safe, and knows where to put his feet when in difficult terrain. Gibson is 15 hands tall, a fox trotter x quarter horse cross. We all absolutely love Gibson’s willingness to go anywhere and do anything. He is a stress-free ride; he stays sound without shoes, and we use hoof boots on rocky trails. Gibson is also easy to ride in the arena; he can lope a nice circle and will stay on the rail when asked. He will ride out alone and will cross bridges, logs, and even tires if trail obstacle courses are your thing. He has always been sound and healthy for us in the time we have owned him; previous owners said they let the grandkids ride him. We absolutely adore this boy; his one preference is that he likes his space when he is eating. We either bring him into his stall for mealtime or put this pile of hay a little farther away from his herd mate so he can eat stress-free. No vices under saddle or on the ground. He picks up his feet, stands for the farrier, is easy to tack up, and is generally well-mannered. OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 10/16 @ 3:50 PM CT.
