Sorrel Roan MFT Gelding

Every good church needs a dependable DEACON—one you can count on, one who stays calm when things get a little hectic, and one who’s always there to help you get where you need to go. Well, our Deacon might have four legs instead of two, but he certainly lives up to his name! Deacon is a 5-year-old, 15.3-hand Missouri Foxtrotter gelding with the looks, color, build, brains, and disposition everyone is searching for. If you’ve been praying for a safe, smooth, dependable trail horse, you might want to pay attention—because your prayers have just been answered! Deacon is broke and is safe, quiet, and dependable whether you’re headed down the trail, through the woods, across the countryside, or right down the highway. He is the definition of a POINT-AND-GO trail horse. Point his nose where you want to go, grab the saddle horn, and let Deacon do the rest. He’ll carry you across the valley, over the ridge, through the woods, and back home safely. Nothing seems to bother Deacon. He will cross creeks, rivers, mud, ditches, logs, downed trees, bridges, rocky ground, steep hills, deep hollows, thick brush, open fields, and rough terrain. He handles dogs running around him, wildlife jumping out, cattle, farm equipment, bicycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, tractors, flags, tarps, and all the unexpected things you can encounter on a long trail ride. Take him down the highway, and he is traffic-safe around cars, trucks, trailers, motorcycles, and passing vehicles. Kids and adults alike have ridden Deacon. You don’t have to be a horse trainer to get along with him; if you know the basics, then you will be good to go! He is quiet-minded, forgiving, and sensible—the kind that lets you loosen your reins, relax in the saddle, and actually enjoy the ride. And you certainly don’t have to sacrifice ride for safety! Deacon has a PHENOMENAL foxtrotting gait, the naturally smooth and comfortable gait that has made the Missouri Foxtrotter breed so popular with trail riders across the country. He can cover some country while keeping you comfortable in the saddle. To top it all off, Deacon is a beautiful, well-built horse with plenty of color. He has the size to carry a rider, the looks to turn heads everywhere he goes, and most importantly, the mind and disposition that make you look forward to saddling him. So if you’ve been looking for a horse that’s SAFE, SMOOTH, QUIET, and DEPENDABLE, come meet Deacon. Sunday service might only last an hour—but this Deacon is ready to take you down the trail all day long! OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 10/14 @ 6:20 PM CT.
