Draft Gelding for Sale in Auburn, KY
Jim is a 4-year-old, 14.3 hand black going gray draft cross gelding. Jim is the kind of horse you can saddle up and enjoy, whether you’re heading out for an afternoon ride or loading up for a weekend adventure.
Jim has real camping experience and will tie overnight on a high line. He is confident riding alone or in a group and is happy to lead or follow. He crosses water, bridges, carefully steps over logs, goes up & down inclines, and navigates rough, uneven terrain. He is traffic safe, UTV/ATV safe, & comfortable with dogs accompanying the ride. This is a horse that gives his rider confidence when the trail gets challenging.
Beyond the trail, Jim has been parade ridden and was used in our yearly Tobacco Festival for a bank robbery reenactment. He handles activity, commotion, and unusual surroundings with a level head. In the arena, he walks, trots, and canters, traveling both directions on the correct lead.
Around the barn, Jim is easy to handle and uncomplicated. He leads, loads, hauls, bathes, and stands tied like a gentleman. He can be stalled or is perfectly content living outside full time. He does well with time off and doesn’t require constant riding to stay sensible. He turns out in a mixed herd with no issues.
Jim is the kind of horse you can build your weekends around. Trail rides, camping trips, parades, riding with friends, or simply heading out for an afternoon adventure. A willing attitude, and the confidence to take you where you want to go.
If you would like to meet Jim or have any additional questions prior to adding him to your family, feel free to reach out!
