This mare is as gentle as they come and has the kind of level-headed, steady mind that makes her a pleasure to be around. She doesn’t need to be rode consistently — she’s quiet, sensible, and dependable with time off. In the field , she meets you at the gate and has a very personable attitude. We’ve taken her camping- she isn’t buddy sour, rides off by herself and stands quietly when tied alone. In the arena , she will jog or extend her trot. Betty knows her leads, and rides with a collected headset. She has a one hand neck rein and will stand for the mounting block as well! Betty has good solid feet and has been barefoot. On the trail,she will lead or follow, cross down trees and walk through puddles quietly. Betty Sue is an easy keeper and stays fat off air- she has had routine care her entire life and is in great shape!
