Dish got his name from a cowboy who rode a buckskin that anyone who loves Lonesome Dove will remember. Named after Dish Boggett, Dish is a 14-year-old, 15.2-hand buckskin Tennessee Walking Horse gelding that looks like he could have ridden straight out of the pages of an old western. And just like something out of Lonesome Dove, this buckskin has seen some country. Dish has miles upon miles of trail experience and has been hauled and has been on horseback camping in multiple states. He’s spent his life doing what a good trail horse is supposed to do—carrying his rider through new country, up and down hills, across creeks, through the woods and wherever the trail may lead. If you like packing your saddlebags, loading the trailer and heading somewhere you’ve never ridden before, Dish is in his element. But here’s where Dish has a big advantage over the horses that made the trip from Lonesome Dove, Texas, to Montana… You can ride this one all day and still walk when you get off!
