Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Fort Collins, CO

Cinderella, aka Ella, is a gorgeous 10-year-old mare who truly checks all the boxes! If you’ve been searching for that safe, dependable, do-it-all mare, Cinderella is the one you’ve been waiting for. This girl is the definition of trustworthy. She is the kind of horse you can put anyone on anytime. My friend’s 3-year-old rode this mare completely by himself, as seen in the video! He stopped, turned, and trotted on her without people near them, and he’s only three. She is quiet, sensible, and forgiving, making her an incredible choice for a first family horse or a good horse for beginners and kids. Cinderella neck reins easily. She can be ridden in a snaffle, a shank, a hackamore, or even bridleless. She is soft and responsive, but will only go as fast as she is asked to. She will not scare a beginner rider by going too fast, and if unsure, she will slow down. We have used her in complete beginner lessons, and people have even learned how to lope on her. She is patient and is used to flopping riders, loud noises, and confusing cues. She rides through the middle of town on the busiest street in Fort Collins and doesn’t have a care in the world. She doesn’t get scared at anything. Dogs lunging at her, bikes, strollers- she walks right through the water and crosses whatever you point her nose at. She is also amazing in the mountains. She is extremely good at navigating rocky terrain, as seen in the video. She slowly makes her way through the rocks and steep steps and doesn’t try to rush through it or scare her rider. If what I’ve said already doesn’t make you want to buy her right this second, she LOVES people and kids. She is so sweet it’s barely believable. She comes to people in the pasture ready to do whatever you ask. She loves to be brushed and equally loves attention. Cinderella has the perfect combination of brains, training, and beauty. She can head down the trail, navigate the mountains, handle traffic, or show off her buttons in the arena. She’s the kind of mare that makes riding fun instead of stressful. She is up to date on all vaccines, wormer, farrier care, teeth floating, and has a current Coggins. She is great for the farrier and the vet and is a barn favorite. Whether you’re looking for a family horse, trail partner, beginner-safe mount, or an attractive mare with some extra buttons, Cinderella is hard to beat. Come and ride this sweet girl! You will want to load her up right when you meet her and take her home. OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 09/09 @ 5:10 PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit.

About Fort Collins, CO

Fort Collins was founded as a military outpost of the United States Army in 1864. It succeeded a previous encampment, known as Camp Collins, on the Cache La Poudre River, near what is known today as Laporte. Camp Collins was erected during the Indian wars of the mid-1860s to protect the Overland mail route that had been recently relocated through the region. Travelers crossing the county on the Overland Trail would camp there, but a flood destroyed the camp in June 1864. Afterward, the commander of the fort wrote to the commandant of Fort Laramie in southeast Wyoming, Colonel William O.
