Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Lisbon, IA
RITA
9-Year-Old Quarter Horse Mare | 14.3 Hands | Sorrel
Rita is a beautiful, well-muscled 9-year-old Quarter Horse mare standing 14.3 hands tall. She is pretty-headed, well-conformed, and truly beginner-safe, kid-broke, and grandma-approved!
Rita has been used extensively in 4-H for all events and has been trail-ridden all over the Midwest. She is exceptionally dependable and has been exposed to just about anything you could encounter on the trail, including cattle, wildlife, tractors, skid loaders, heavy traffic, and more. She has even been ridden in game reserves surrounded by abundant wildlife.
This mare is traffic safe; crosses water without hesitation and is extremely sure-footed in the mountains. She has been ridden English as well as Western. Rita has had guns shot off her, carried the American flag, and has proven herself in a wide variety of situations.
Rita has no spook and no buck. She stands like a statue to mount and dismount and has impeccable ground manners. She stands perfectly for the farrier and has been trusted to stand tied on a picket line during overnight camping trips for weeks at a time.
Whether you’re looking for a dependable trail horse, a family horse, a 4-H partner, or simply a safe and trustworthy mare, Rita is the kind that is hard to find. She is best suited for beginner to intermediate riders and is a true confidence-building partner.
Rita will sell 100% sound with no vices or known issues. She is up to date on vaccinations, deworming, and farrier work.
