Seasoned red dun Mare

This is Rosalita, a 13 year old red dun quarter horse mare standing at 14.3 hands. She is the whole package- broke, seasoned and pretty! This Mare is savvy both in the arena and in the woods. She will cross the deep creeks and step over logs without batting an eye. She will lead or follow down the trail, rides with a group or out alone unbothered. Rosalita will walk, trot, and canter circles in the arena quietly and level headed. She rides with a nice neck rein, side passes to open gates, and stands patiently at the mounting block. This mare has previously been used on a ranch where they checked fences and gathered cattle, both tasks requiring her to last all day and cover a lot of country! Rosalita has seen enough “real life” scenarios that she is has more common sense than most people nowadays. We have rode her down the road trail riding and she is absolutely traffic safe. She has also been around most farm machinery, dogs, and is well versed with the chaos children bring to the barn! Out of the saddle she is very easy to handle and get along with. Rosalita is not marish at all, gets along great in a mixed herd as well. She rides the same with months off and is great for the farrier.
