Kentucky Mountain Gelding for Sale in Mount Vernon, KY
“I’m going to Jackson”
Jackson is a beautiful 14.3hh 4-year-old buckskin gelding that you will swear is the real-life Spirit model. Jackson came from some folks that we have become good friends with this past year. They carried him all over on trail rides and spent almost every day with him riding on their family farm.
Jackson is very laid back. He is an in-your-pocket type horse. Very easy to catch. Handles like a dream. Very easy to clip, bathe, and groom. Great for farrier. Jackson stands dead still to be mounted and will even move over to a mounting block to be mounted. Rides very quietly. Not in a hurry, but isn’t a kick-along deadhead either. He’s really what most of us want. He will walk along all day but doesn’t have to kick him along to keep him going. He has a very smooth-running walk and can shift gears and move on out in a very smooth rack. Jackson has a good handle. He neck reins, side passes, and will back the length of a barn. Rides anywhere in a group and will ride out alone.
He’s great in the woods. A true Billy goat! He will go up, down, or through anything. Crosses all types of water, fallen trees, and slippery rocks. Great around wildlife, livestock, and dogs. Perfect in traffic as well. If you are wanting a young horse with a lot of experience that’s got his whole life ahead of him. You don’t want to miss out on a trip to Jackson! Please feel free to call or text with any questions or set up a time to come out for a test ride. Located in Mount Vernon, KY, we can help with arranging shipping if needed.
