Morgan Gelding for Sale in Fort Collins, CO

Pumba is a super sweet gelding with the perfect blend of Morgan and Percheron. Standing a solid 15hh, Pumba is the kind of horse that is built for anything asked of him. He is stocky, sturdy, and built to comfortably carry riders of all sizes. He has the size and bone of a draft cross with the versatility and feel of a Morgan. He wears a size 2 shoe, has great feet, and will hold up for many years with his good conformation. He has a gorgeous thick mane and tail as well and shines in the sun! This handsome guy is a true trail partner. He has a steady walk on the trail. Will lead or follow and is confident when leading the pack. Pumba is easy going, dependable, and anyone can enjoy him. He is good with time off. We have never had to lunge him. We just step on and go. He is not spooky, crosses whatever he is pointed at, and will confidently handle the sights and sounds of the trail. He has been through the center of town and up in Rocky Mountain National Park in the high country. He is sure footed and really good at traversing uneven terrain. He is not buddy or barn sour and has been super willing to go new places without a fuss. Pumba neck reins, is easy to ride, and has a great mind; even when he is unsure he asks for the answer and is easy enough for someone inexperienced to get along with him. He is easy to saddle and bridle and good with his feet. He is just simple to get along with, we have really enjoyed having him in our program. I think he would be great for many things and many different riders. He loves the trail and he has been great for the kids in the lesson camp program learning how to ride! He is really sweet on the ground too! Stands tied quietly, doesn’t paw, and enjoys people. He is good for the vet and farrier. He is also up to date on all vaccines, wormer, floating, and is healthy with no current maintenance. Come and check him out! He’s going to be a great addition to a family. We are going to miss him terribly! OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 07/08 @ 6:10 PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit.

About Fort Collins, CO

Fort Collins was founded as a military outpost of the United States Army in 1864. It succeeded a previous encampment, known as Camp Collins, on the Cache La Poudre River, near what is known today as Laporte. Camp Collins was erected during the Indian wars of the mid-1860s to protect the Overland mail route that had been recently relocated through the region. Travelers crossing the county on the Overland Trail would camp there, but a flood destroyed the camp in June 1864. Afterward, the commander of the fort wrote to the commandant of Fort Laramie in southeast Wyoming, Colonel William O.
