Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Howard City, MI

“Charlie” 6 years old registered quarter horse. 15.2-15.3HH he is a nice tall bay, gorgeous boy! Charlie has been used extensively as a mountain horse. Does great riding out west or take him hunting. He is hobble broke & can highline too. Pony pack horses as well. He steps out on the trail and can ride alone as well. Crosses rivers and logs. don’t let this guy’s back country résumé fool you, he is also trained with all the fancy arena buttons. He softens nicely to the bit. A very smooth trot, nice to sit. His lope is easy & smooth. He can side pass, back, spin, turn on his haunches. He’s just coming back into riding after having the winter off (we just give our horses winter off, he didn’t “need the break”. ) As he gets more and more in shape, his polish really shines. He’s a solid horse for breaking young horses off of. He is not afraid of ropes. Couple years back was Roping the dummy with him regularly. He tracks the dummy nicely too. Charlie does not loves cattle. He getsvexcited with them. he has a clean bill of health, just dewormed him recently. Up-to-date on farrier as well. No vices, polite, ground manners, loads, and hauls great. great for farrier and bathing. we have never had any health or lameness concerns with him, he’s really been a great horse. he is an excellent teacher, if you are wanting to learn how to ride, he will teach you and meet you where you’re at and you can learn from there. If you have a little bit more polish in your ride, he does not disappoint and is fun to ride. Selling because I don’t have anyone to ride him, and there is no point in him sitting. would be suitable for an older child, a husband or wife horse. He is very safe.
