Tennessee Walking Gelding for Sale in Amory, MS

Versatile describes Yellowstone Wrangler. From the rail to the trail, or an afternoon drive, he’ll do whichever you prefer. He’s a looker, too. From his beautiful palomino and white coat to his hair gene, his beautiful head, and his hook ears, you’ll be noticed wherever you go. Yellowstone Wrangler is a 5-year-old, 15.1h, triple-registered Palomino-and-white TWH gelding. This gorgeous gelding is a product of some of the very best bloodlines of both the Spotted Saddle Horse and TWH breeds. He is registered with TWHBEA, SSHBEA, and NSSHA. Wrangler is a 2023 WGC and 2xWC two-year-old SSHBEA in the no head shake class. He’s been shown by different riders in SSHBEA shows as well as Saturday night shows in Tennessee and Mississippi. He’s always in the top ribbons. Wrangler is my personal horse and has been part of our family for over two years. You can ride daily or give him time off, and he’s the same horse every time. I was able to get on him following my second knee replacement after he had sat in the pasture for four months. He just walked off when I got on, like he’d been ridden every day. He’s had both professional and amateur experiences and adjusts easily. At age 74, with health issues that limit my riding ability, I feel he should now be with someone who can better enjoy him and use him to his full potential. He’s going to be some lucky owner’s “Lifetime Horse”. Wrangler is Mr. Personality and loves human interaction. You don’t catch him, he catches you. He literally runs to the gate to stick his head in the halter. He stands well to be groomed, clipped, bathed, and shod. Wrangler loads into any trailer and backs off easily. He will neck rein and will easily stand to mount. He’s happy as the only horse on the farm, or with a group, and doesn’t really care about the presence or absence of other horses. He’s content either way. He can live in either a stall or a pasture. Wrangler has a very comfortable trail walk and a silky-smooth four-beat racking gait. He is bold on the trail and has extensive experience. He both leads and follows equally well. He will go anywhere he’s pointed. Water, bridges, hills- nothing phases him. He’s been on daily trail rides in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama, as well as numerous overnight camping trips. As a bonus, he’s an awesome driving horse, traffic safe, and solid in harness. He will drive you around the field, down the road, or wherever you’d like to go. Wrangler is healthy and sound in every way, and he is up to date on vaccinations, deworming, dental, and shoeing. He’s looking for his forever home, whether it be on the rail, the trail, driving, or a combination of all or any of the three. OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 06/03 @ 5:00 PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit.

About Amory, MS

Amory began as a planned railroad town. The Kansas City, Memphis & Birmingham Railroad needed a midpoint between Memphis, Tennessee and Birmingham, Alabama for their locomotives, and they laid out the new town of Amory in 1887. People from nearby Cotton Gin Port on the Tombigbee River abandoned their town and moved to Amory.
