Keystone has been MANY miles trail riding in several midwest state parks. He will lead, follow behind another horse, or ride out alone. He will cross fallen logs, go through the deepest of puddles, and is not phased by anything. Traffic, dogs, tarps, kids, machinery, Keystone won’t bat an eye and plod right past it all. Absolutely bottom of the pecking order in a mixed herd, and you will catch him where you find him every time. Coolest part about Ol Keystone? In the arena he’s got a great handle to him and is not just a “dead head” trail horse. Walk, trot, and lope circles like it’s his job, stops off your seat, has a nice neck rein to him and will side pass to open gates.
