Knabstrupper Gelding for Sale in Fort Collins, CO

First-time horse owners and beginners take a look, because this gelding is a perfect fit and fills in for beginners and inexperienced riders so well. It’s his calling to take care of young kids and beginner riders. Nacho is the kind of gelding everyone hopes to find but rarely does. Being a Knabstrupper/QH cross, he has gorgeous movement and striking color, but has the most easy-going personality, making him the whole package. He has truly seen it all and takes it all in stride. He’s the definition of steady, the same honest, kind horse every single time you step on him. He is the same horse if he has had months off or if he’s been in consistent work. You don’t have to lunge him or work him, just saddle him and go. He rides English and western, bareback and even bridleless. He can ride in a hackamore or a bit and is really good at going with the flow, no matter what you want to do. He stops when you say “whoa,” and if he is unsure or his rider is unbalanced, he will stop and wait for you to get your bearings. He’s currently part of a lesson program where he’s been packing around true beginners and first-time riders with patience you can’t teach. Nacho takes care of his rider better than I’ve ever seen. He’s not the type to go quickly and will only go as fast as he’s asked, but he has a solid WTC and has been helping new riders learn to canter. Nacho has no spook and absolutely no funny business. What you see is what you get every day. On the ground, he’s just as easy as he is under saddle. Good manners come to you in the pasture and puts his head in the halter for the kids. He has no vices and a laid-back personality that makes him a barn favorite. He is good for the farrier and the vet and self-loads in the trailer. He’s the kind you can pull out for anyone, kids or nervous adults, and you can count on him. If you’re looking for a confidence builder or a safe, trustworthy partner to learn from, Nacho is about as solid as they come. The Knabstrupper or Knabstrup is a Danish breed of warmblood horse. OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 04/29 @ 5:10 PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit.

About Fort Collins, CO

Fort Collins was founded as a military outpost of the United States Army in 1864. It succeeded a previous encampment, known as Camp Collins, on the Cache La Poudre River, near what is known today as Laporte. Camp Collins was erected during the Indian wars of the mid-1860s to protect the Overland mail route that had been recently relocated through the region. Travelers crossing the county on the Overland Trail would camp there, but a flood destroyed the camp in June 1864. Afterward, the commander of the fort wrote to the commandant of Fort Laramie in southeast Wyoming, Colonel William O.
