Friesian Gelding for Sale in Crab Orchard, KY

Romeo is a gorgeous black crossbred gelding that is full of talent, experience, and personality. Romeo is 4 years old, stands 15.1 hands tall, and has a stout, athletic conformation. Romeo has an impressive set of skills! He is experienced in the arena, has been used extensively around the ranch and cattle, has trail ridden many, many miles, and he even drives exceptionally! In the indoor and outdoor arenas, Romeo does great. He is very collected when riding. He will lope circles both ways, taking the correct leads each way. His lope is super smooth, too! He has a nice one-hand neck rein and a big stop. Romeo side passes and turns around with skill. He is very soft in the mouth and face and is easy to ride and control. He is both gentle and responsive. On the trail, Romeo is confident, safe, and surefooted. Romeo is an exceptional trail horse! He has extensive trail-riding experience and is a trail-horse deluxe! He’s been trail ridden many miles by our entire family. He will go up and down steep hills with ease, through mud, ditches, and deep water, over logs, and through brush. Romeo is the same steady ride on all types of terrain, from rough and rocky to wet and sandy- he has seen and ridden all of it! He will ride out alone or with a group. He has the confidence to be in the front and is easy-going enough to be in the back. Romeo is also a great cow-horse. Around the ranch, Romeo has been used to check fences and pastures. He’s been used to check, move, sort, and catch cattle. He is also no stranger to the rope. We have used him to rope wild cows and bulls; he has pulled cattle onto the trailer to help us load them. He is no stranger to work and has a willingness to please in whatever job you give him. He is also familiar with other livestock and barn pets. The goats, dogs, and cats that run in and out of the stall with him never faze him, and he gets along well. Romeo is easy to catch; he is clean and quiet in the stall and gets along in the pasture. He stands tied patiently for the farrier. He stands to be tacked up and mounted, and he also loads and hauls great. He loves grooming and a bath and is super well-behaved. Romeo is also familiar with tarps, whips, and guns. He is also an excellent driving horse! He will drive single and double with ease. Romeo has been ridden and driven to and through town and is completely traffic safe. Romeo has also been ridden in English and started jumping. He looks and rides great in both English and Western tack! Romeo is the type of horse with a whole lot of experience and loads of potential. His color and build are nearly perfect and for sure will turn the heads, but his skill, experience, and disposition are all part of what make’s him an all-around amazing horse. He is the kind of horse that will steal your heart once you spend some time with him. Take the time to watch our full YouTube video to see all of this for yourself.
