Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Fort Collins, CO

Coconut 🥥 🏝️ This gelding is truly one of the kindest, most genuine horses you’ll come across. He has a heart of gold and a personality that makes you want to be around him every day. He’s the type that meets you at the gate, stands quietly for all the attention you want to give him, and always tries his absolute hardest to do right by his rider. There’s not a mean bone in his body—just a sweet, willing attitude and a steady, dependable mind. Under saddle, he loves arena work! Coconut has a smooth, correct walk, jog, and lope. He carries himself nicely and is easy to ride, working off soft cues and staying consistent whether you’re in the arena or out on the trail. Coconut is on the lazy side and takes a little bit more leg to get going; he’s definitely a slow, steady eddy guy who prefers chilling out to loping circles or galloping. He’s the kind you can just sit on, relax, and enjoy, knowing he’s going to take care of you. He aims to please and is always trying to figure out what you’re asking, making him a great partner for someone wanting a dependable, honest horse. He has been exposed to just about everything you can think of. He’s been ridden all over town and in the mountains, handling new places and situations with a calm, level-headed attitude. Traffic doesn’t bother him—he’s been around cars, trucks, and commotion and takes it all in stride. He’s also been introduced to flags, tarps, and water, and handles each of those with confidence and curiosity rather than fear. Nothing seems to shake him, and he’s the same steady horse no matter where you take him. What really sets him apart is his kindness and willingness. He doesn’t just go through the motions—he genuinely tries for you every single ride. Whether you’re asking him to navigate a busy street, cross water, or just enjoy a quiet ride, he shows up with a soft, willing mindset and a calm presence that’s hard to find. If you’re looking for a sweet, honest gelding that’s been there, done that, and will continue to be a reliable partner no matter the setting, this boy is one you’ll absolutely want to meet- not to mention his absolutely adorable face and stunning markings. OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 04/08 @ 4:40 PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit.

About Fort Collins, CO

Fort Collins was founded as a military outpost of the United States Army in 1864. It succeeded a previous encampment, known as Camp Collins, on the Cache La Poudre River, near what is known today as Laporte. Camp Collins was erected during the Indian wars of the mid-1860s to protect the Overland mail route that had been recently relocated through the region. Travelers crossing the county on the Overland Trail would camp there, but a flood destroyed the camp in June 1864. Afterward, the commander of the fort wrote to the commandant of Fort Laramie in southeast Wyoming, Colonel William O.
