Gypsy Vanner Gelding for Sale in Woodburn, KY
FHF One Way To Heaven
Affectionately known as Joey, is truly Heaven Sent! We’ve had the pleasure of owning Joey since he was a weanling. So, for the last 3 years. Bred by the great Feathered Horse Farms, where quality Gypsy Vanner horses are the utmost goal. Joey is the frontrunner in both our guided trail-riding business and our riding lesson program. Standing a stout & growing 13.3HH. Don’t let his age fool you; he’s had hundreds of different children on his back. He’s been to birthday parties, Halloween Festivals, tons of parades, pony rides for city events, Christmas Tree lightings & tons more. He’s a superstar everywhere he goes. His wonderful, funny personality & gentle nature have made him the perfect horse for these types of events. Many have asked us what we will do without him in our program, as he’s one of our go-to guys, but the time has come to make some much-needed upgrades to our farm & arena, & great rewards come with great sacrifices. Joey is ready to go make your family’s or your community’s dreams come true! He doesn’t get rattled in loud, chaotic situations. Sirens, blown-up costumes, heavy equipment, dogs, carriages, this guy has seen it all. So many in our area have taken their first ride on Joey. His long, beautiful hair & terrific disposition make him the number one choice at our farm. He’s such a ham & loves attention, he has taken right to liberty training & our liberty trainer feels he will excel in this discipline. His favorite pastime is getting pets, scratches & love while he munches his alfalfa. Joeys height & sturdy build make him the perfect mount for heavier & inexperienced riders. He gladly moves over to your trailer fender, bucket, or mounting block for you to get on. He will even let you climb on his back from a friend’s back, as you can see in our videos. Joey willingly crosses water, mud, downed trees, tarps & obstacles with ease. He’s competed at local shows & courses with many different riders. Children who don’t have their own horse have shown Joey. He’s a very understanding & forgiving riding partner for beginners. On trails, he’s a sure-footed & careful boy with our guests. He quietly assesses the terrain & chooses the easiest way down & takes care of his riders. He pays no mind to Wildlife & dogs on the trail. Our weenie dog crew is constantly hunting & running wild on the trails. Joey even gives my dachshund, Charles, a ride when he needs one. Joey is a blast to ride at the stockyards as well! He loves to pen & sort cattle. You can even carry newborn calves on his back! The loud noises, flags & even bull whips don’t faze Joey at the stockyard. He’s used to a long day’s work when you need him for that. He enjoys swimming & will even let my son fish off of his back. He’s a lot of fun to train & work with. My daughter started teaching him a few tricks when he was a baby. He has been all over Kentucky, Tennessee & Indiana trail riding. He handles rocky terrain great & has never required shoes.

About Woodburn, KY
Woodburn began as a hamlet known as "Mason's Inn," which served as a stop along the stagecoach road that roughly followed what is now U.S. Route 31W. It is believed to have gotten its current name from a nearby forest that had been destroyed by fire. The L&N established a depot at the site in 1859, initially calling it "New Woodburn," but reverting simply to "Woodburn" by 1864. A townsite was platted next to the depot in 1865, and the city was incorporated the following year.
