Appaloosa Mare for Sale in Kentwood, LA

Sister is a 8 year old Appoloosa mare. She stands 13.3 hands tall. Sister is a cool little horse to ride. She does amazing on trails in the woods or on the highway. She will ride in the front, the middle, or the back of the trail ride. She is ok with that. She’s just glad to be there; she has no problem crossing water, bridges, or logs, and isn’t afraid of wildlife such as hogs, turkeys, and deer, which sister has been hunted off of for over two years now. Sister has a great one-hand neck rein; she will walk, trot, and lope both ways. She catches her leads easily. She has a good stop and backs up without issue. Sister has been shot off of a lot when she was hunted off of. I have been using her as a practice horse for the cowboy mounted shooting competition. She is a good little shooting horse and will run right down the middle and stay true and not duck or veer off on the run down. Sister has been pulling the cart for over a month now. She will start and stop the cart with ease. She sure is a pretty buggy-driving horse. Sister has also been introduced to trick training! She successfully completed my course of lay down on command. She goes down very easily. She loads all types of trailers easily. She’s easy to wash, saddle, harness, and bridle. She will stand well for mounting and dismounting. I have roped the breakaway dummy off of her a few times with no problem. She is clean-legged, with no scars or health issues. She is a clean little mare. If you’re looking for a pretty, pretty little mare, check out Sister. OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 01/28 @ 5:10 PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit.

About Kentwood, LA

This rural town was founded by Amos Kent in 1893. On August 30, 2012, pressure on a dam on the Tangipahoa River to the north of the town as a result of Hurricane Isaac led to Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal calling for a mandatory evacuation of the town due to fears of large-scale flooding from Lake Tangipahoa. The evacuation order was later rescinded and the dam held.
