Pony of the Americas Mare for Sale in Rattan, OK
Charm is a 14.1 hand POA mare that has the color and confirmation that stands out in a group. She is absolutely gorgeous, but she is also wide, thick and correct. Charm is built to do anything you want to do. She is willing and eager to please and she looks like a horse straight from a magazine cover. Charm is easy to catch and will stand patiently for grooming and saddling. She will give up all 4 feet quietly and is easy to bridle.
Charm will walk, trot and canter both directions and has a soft, easy stop. She also has a nice soft neck rein and is very easy to handle. She is confident on the trail and will take the lead or ride in the back or in the middle of the group. She will also ride off by herself and will cross logs with ease. Charm takes it slow in rough, rocky, terrain or through creek crossings, but she is happy to walk out down the trail.
As well as being hauled to trail rides Charm has also been hauled to playdays. She knows the barrel and pole pattern and doesn’t rush through them. This is an all around horse that is absolutely gorgeous and would be a great addition to anybody’s herd.

About Rattan, OK
Established in approximately 1910, Rattan was named for Rattan, Texas, from which a number of its early white settlers came. Rattan, Texas—located in Delta County, thirty miles south of Paris, Texas—was named for local postal officer Clarence V. Rattan in 1893. Following Oklahoma's statehood in 1907 a number of Delta County families relocated to the new Pushmataha County, among them Akins, Akards, and Helms. The Delta County family (or families) apparently establishing itself in Rattan has not been identified.
